Jul 31, 2009 20:15

Okay, today I told myself I'd sit down and write up at least one of the Al Stewart concert reports, so this one is for the one babel and I saw on 17 July 2009 in San Juan Capistrano at The Coach House.

Cut for pictures and report )

I love how all you American's talk about your summer this year. I wonder what it's really like. Anyhow, I sure love to trade XD. I'm not a winter person. I hibernate like a bear or something =3 ( ... )

I think California and Australia can be fairly similar in their respective summers. You probably have more humidity though, so it probably feels worse.

I'm not vegetarian, actually, but the friend I went with was. :)

Which albums/songs of his have you gotten? I could recommend others or send you some, etc., if you'd like. I'm always keen to get more people into him. :D

Time Passages is the only album I have managed to download so far. I liked it a lot =D. I would rather buy the music, but sometimes its so hard to find stuff D:

Oh, Time Passages isn't even one of my favorites. I like to buy music for artists too, but sometimes it is hard to find, and I truly don't feel bad sampling an artist via download. That's what I did with Al myself--I got a download sampler and then bought the CDs once I knew I liked his music.

That's so cool that he played "Dark and Rolling Sea". You never know; he might have remembered your request.

Those are gorgeous lotus flowers in that pond. It may have been stinking hot, but the photos make me feel cool to look at them. I love the third and fourth ones.

It's possible part of him was like, "Yes, some fan wanted me to play that song." He clearly didn't remember me, but it is fun to think he may've remembered the request. I was stoked either way. If you watch the video I recorded, as soon as JimB realizes he's introducing the song, he leaned over to me and said, "You win!" and it's on the recording, ahahaha.

The fountain really was beautiful and, on another day, it would have been lovely to show up around 5pm and have a picnic on the grass nearby.
