The Third Doctor

Feb 08, 2009 23:51

Aaaand here is Jon Pertwee's Third Doctor! I know this isn't the red costume everyone and their mother always depicts him in, but Invasion of the Dinosaurs is my favorite Pertwee serial, and I love the way he looks in blue. So, that's what I depicted him in. :D It looks smashing against the TARDIS.

Wow - I saw the Tom Baker earlier and didn't get a chance to comment on that one. They're fantastic. I hope you sell them all and get orders for more at the con -- people ought to go nuts for them. :)

Ahahaaha, awww, thank you. I hope they do sell, though I'm kind of sad to see them go. Troughton just came out of the oven and he's so little and cute. I don't want to seeeell him. XD

Awwwwww. Well, you can always make others for yourself, right? Or keep these as prototypes and take orders for others. :) I can't wait to see them n person!

Yeah, that's what I tell myself--I can always make myself more. But it's still hard when you make one to let it go! XD It was easy to make the Winchesters for someone else because I don't care for SPN, but the characters I do like, like Travis and Servalan ahahhaha. Hard to let them go.

But yeah, I can always make more. I don't know that I'll ever make all ten for myself, but a Troughton and Jamie set would be nice. Someday. :D Right now, the money will be nicer than him sitting pretty on my shelf, I think. I'm kind of hoping some really rich person will buy all ten as a set. Though I'm also content to go home with a few if they don't sell, ahahaha.

You totally have my permission to break the hands of anyone messing around with them who shouldn't be at the convention! I'm going to have a big DO NOT TOUCH sign and will be seriously pissed if any of them get broken. They're not fragile, per se, but they will break if you drop them.

He is superb! One of your best yet. He looks great in blue ... it's not as if no-one will recognise him without the maroon. I just adore the ruffles and shiny shoes. Is that blue a bit sparkly, or is that just the photos.

Can't wait to see them all lined up! (You are so tempting me to buy an entire set!)

Awww, thank you. I'm glad you like him! I was worried that he hadn't come out very good, so I'm relieved to hear you say he's one of the best, ahahaha. I think it's just because I'm personally more fond of the other Doctors? I don't know. But I do love his maroon jacket, I just wanted to make the blue one instead. It's just more fun to me, somehow. Adds a nice mix to them all lined up, too! The blue clay IS sparkly, ahahaha. It just adds to his fabulousness. XD

I'm old enough to be from the Pertwee/Baker era ... so these are MY doctors!

LOL That's really only counts if you watched them though! Seven should "technically" be my Doctor, as he was the one on when I was of age to watch, but I never did! XD

Saw Baker earlier as well and didn't get the chance to comment, either. But, as usual, you've done fabulous work! Eager to see Two and One! Good luck on them!

Ahahaha, thank you! I know I'm kind of spamming the hell out of the world with posting them all back-to-back, but the feedback helps motivate me and I'm on such a deadline! So glad you like them! Troughton just came out of the oven and looks so cute it'll be hard for me to sell him. XD

Hey, spam away. I have zero artistic talent and I'm always in awe of stuff such as this.

Awww, hey, you can play guitar left handed, that's artistic!

I was thinking Wow at the ruffles and cuffs, then I went to look at the other pictures. The detailing for the wrinkles round his eyes!!! Each one is an individual.

My Doctor is William Hartnel, I watched the first episode on its first broadcast.
