So, there I was, having a lovely day in which I had gotten my homework for class done, had just eaten some surprisingly delicious vegan macaroni and cheese, had gotten my linoleum board and cutter for my next project and was happily headed home. Then, just as I glanced down to see if there was any gum in the cup holders (as there usually is), ( Read more... )

Just very glad that you are all right, because smashed cars is not fun, but smashed people is sad.
Even sadder that vegan mac-n-CHEESE. "Surprisingly delicious" indeed.

Please don't beat yourself up over this. I am amazed every time I get out there that more people aren't having wrecks all over the place. BETTER DAY FOR YOU TOMORROW.

*snug* Mostly I'm just sore and scared about what's going to happen with the insurance. We've been dropped by two companies before because neither my mother nor I have a stellar track records, and I'm terrified that this one is going to drop us as well and we don't be able to find somebody else who will take us without paying an arm and a leg. I figure I can help us by surrendering my license because then I won't be on the insurance anymore and the premiums will go way down.

My parents aren't thrilled by the decision and they want me to sleep on it, but I just don't feel safe driving anymore. :(

Yeah, totally. Whether you drive anymore is your choice. But they're kinda handy pieces of identification if nothing else, and lots of official documents kind of expect that you'll have them. Is there a way to get off the insurance without getting rid of your license?

And are you feeling okay? No delayed whiplash injuries?

I know, they are. :|a One of my friends suggested getting my own insurance, but I don't have a car so I don't know if I could. I might end up paying my part of my parents insurance.

Yeah, I'm fine. I think the poor car in the middle suffered the worst of it. Prius's crumple like match boxes.
