So I'm thinking I wanna go somewhere this summer for a little bit. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd prefer someplace I know someone, but that's not a prereq. Any continent is A-OK for me!
End of July? Traveling around for 10 days? Care to spend any of that time with a super awesome blonde american? I want to see the world! I want to live life to the fullest!
not sure where i'm going yet, i wanted to go to Australia and New Zealand, but my coworker just got back from Thailand and it looks friggin amazing. my vacation is july 26-aug 3, and depending on my school (and contract), i might be able to get it extended. if i do, i plan on doing both thailand and australia.
i wouldnt mind spending part of it with you. Remember that a ticket over here will be ~$1,500 and then if you want to fly around (ie Korea to Thailand or something) it'll be another ~$700. Then you have to buy visas (another ~$50). Then you have to get accomodations (which, in Thailand, are roughly ~$20 a night). I plan on getting my diving cert while I'm in Thailand, which will be another ~$250 (its cheap there). You're looking at at least 3 grand, and THailand is an extremely cheap area. Australia is priced exactly like the states, so that's going to look muy expensive-o.
I can probably manage a little bit of time in Korea and potentially Thailand. I don't think I'll be able to swing Australia. I probably won't do the diving thing because my mom and I are planning to get certified soon. I should be able to do it around those dates. I have to figure out expenses and such and see if I can swing about 3 grand, but that's really not a whole lot of money for 2 countries. I think it'd be awesome. I'll let you know!
