Well, I like the heroic, dorky guys with a bit of attitude, and Ian fit that bill immediately. What I liked about him the most was that he didn't have this typical teenage boy mentality of, "Oh, I'm far too cool, let me put on my best Fonz impression." He's a smart kid and got into trouble because he just didn't like seeing others picked on, so he's a fighter for truth and justice!--and was a bit of a loner, I'm betting, or rather he didn't allow himself to get too attached to people before Tower Prep, not with the way he kept getting suspended for fighting/switching schools. He had friends and all growing up, but the three (Gabe, CJ, and Suki) seem like they're the only ones he's ever considered family, and would therefore do anything to protect them. He's fierce like that. Rawr. He's also an only child (just popped on the first ep to check this), but I'm betting he had wanted a sibling growing up, someone who would understand him when his parents couldn't quite get why he did the things he did in school. He would've been an

This...is a toughie. I wouldn't want to bring him from too early on, but I wouldn't want to bring him from during the Hungry Earth/Cold Blood two-parter either, nor near the end while he's all Auton Centurion and such (though I think that would be interesting to play with. Have him die then bring him back in Auton mode...hmm.)

I'm thinking in between Amy's Choice and The Hungry Earth. I want to see where those three books fall in terms of the timeline.

Of course...I could take him from during The Big Bang where he's watching over the Pandorica for all those years... That'd be interesting. It'd be something I'd have to deal with sooner or later.

...You know, I just got an idea for an AU. What if it was Amy who died at the end of Cold Blood instead of Rory? How would the adventures with Eleven have been different? How would the end with Amy, the Pandorica, and ALL THAT have turned out?

Crap. :| It can't be a simple switcheroo, not with the way everything is fixed in the end. All that memory stuff with Amy is far too important, even from the beginning.

And actually, the more I think about it, the more complicated it becomes--even moreso than my Ten AU and that thing is...yeah. I think I might stick to canon for this one >.>
