As hurtful as it seems, I'd do my best not to take it personally. I've been called a 'lesbian' a number of times, as if the word carries some negative connontation to me. But quite honestly, people are stupid, ignorant fucks that try to put you down either because they think they're somehow superior to you but have no way of proving it. The risk we take for dressing differently, acting differently, or accepting a role that is somehow out of ordinance with the mainstream is that morons with their head shoved half way up their ass think you are an appropriate target to prove their quote-unquote coolness with. THAT said, no one outside their stupid little clique cares, so honestly, don't let it get to you. Even they will grow up one day and feel bad for being assholes. Or, hell, they may not, but thats the risk we take for dragging ours out of bed and going out to enjoy the non-shitty parts of our lives (and there are always plenty more than most people assume ( ... )
