This is heartbreaking, yet so very perfect. I really can't see House going on without Wilson; he'd burned every bridge to be with him. And in the end, Wilson was finally the friend that House needed him to be; he accepted House's decision.

i can picture a small group of people together on a mountain top, Foreman, Chase, Cameron, Thirteen, Taub…and possibly Cuddy…each taking a handful of their mingled ashes and giving them to the winds.

And I'm crying as I type this.

I agree, of course, that House had no way of turning back from his choice. As he said on the doorsteps; "I'm a dead man."

ITA. I think that was House's way of saying that his decision to be with Wilson was his final one in life (and Hugh Laurie agrees with us, so there's that).

I don't know what ITA means, but I agree with this. He made his choice, and it was his final choice. He also did it in such a way there is no turning back from it, which shows how serious he is.
