Nicely done! Very powerful, esp. considering I've never seen X-Men. I wasn't sure what the second guy's power was (I got the telekinesis). Does he ever walk again?

Charles is the one in the wheelchair. He is a telepath. And no, he doesn't.

Erik is the one who has telekinesis, but it's actual a magnetic field he can control. So he can only control metal.

It's actually quit emotionally powerful, X-Men: First Class. Charles and Erik are best friends who everyone openly admits are in love (the actors , director, etc) but they eventually part ways due to feeling differently on . . . difficult political differences, but still hang out and play chess together for years to come. Like when they are eighty they are still "best friends" despite fighting on opposite sides of the war.

I wrote a fic, actually, that is cherik if you wanted to read that--but I'd suggest watching the movie. It's really great.

You know I think this video is wonderful, of course. :) I just never comment/review anymore, so that is what I am doing now. (Could be seen as filling empty space, but I prefer to think of it as being generous).

Brava! Loved it, very well done.

As skeptical as I was about X-Men:FirstClass (I'm a big Sirs Patrick & Ian fan) I *really* enjoyed the film - even tho it kinda invalidated the whole Phoenix/Jean Grey-story line...quibbles. ;D

AND have *always* thought there was something between Charles and Erik going back to even the first X-Men movie.

*sigh* just what I need, another fandom. :P

First Class is a reboot and thus a different continuity that the other films, if it helps.

Let me tell you something--my mom is not a fan of man-on-man. At all. And /she/ ships Cherik, and has since the first movie. And she doesn't like slash, and she's not really a shipper of any sort. It makes me laugh every time she starts talking about how cute they are in the first X-Men movie playing chess.

Stupid stupid me~ I didn't realize it was a re-boot! I had other things going on at the time, I guess. I just adore charles/erik and can totally see it. The fact that the director and the actors are saying they were totally in love? whoah.

I actually haven't really been involved in cherik fandom at all. I have a cherik fic, but that's all I know. Because I am lame. I should probably post it to a cherik site or something. I'm sure there are good sites here on lj.

You are so very right! Progressed does have a very X-Men-ish feel to it. Obviously Love Love, but that was pretty much a cherik fanfiction anyway. Silly Take That, shipping Cherik. *sniff*
