OMG so Lovely! I've ordered in dyes for spring colours and dyeing the most luscious alpaca! We also have some really neat heavier yarn and I so often wish I had you and Liquideze and Jess and some of the other Browncoats to help me figure out what to do with all of this cool stuff! (We need a Fibre/yarn shindig!)

ZOMG *covets your blocking wires* Are they awesome? Are they easy to use? Are they the bendy kind? I've had no luck finding any here but I need to start looking harder as they'd be invaluable for a couple things I'm working on now. (Although I did have success using bicycle spokes in place of blocking wires once, but they're far from ideal.)

Hearing that there was only a foot left of yarn makes me stress out and I wasn't even involved! Hee!

That is some gorgeous-looking yarn and awesome knitting!

thank you!!

and ha! yes they are awesome! easy to use (and probably quite similar to the bicycle spokes). yes they are bendy. i discovered that night that i have 2 different thicknesses of wires and the thinner ones are much more flexible. plus i have longer ones and shorter ones. i think the long ones are about 3 feet long and the short ones are about 1 foot long.

but this is definitely soooo much easier to use than to use a million pins! especially across the top of the shawl.

i know you can buy them online but shipping is an issue because of the length so you'll probably pay a lot for shipping. i found these at a yarn shop one day. it was actually on clearance! i think i paid $20? i'd seen them everywhere for like $30 so i thought it was a decent deal.
