this is a couple of weeks ago when my dad was painting all the way up to the ceiling. he had built a scaffold he could stand on.

this is the view directly outside my door.

That is absolutely gorgeous! Wow. I'm looking forward to further pictures. The green water alone would have been a fantastic thing, but the corals and things in the complementary reds are amazing.

yeah, it's a bit scary - in fact, just last week he decided that it was time to paint all the window trims on the outside of the house. he rigged up a ladder with a board somehow attached across the top so it would lay better against the house, for painting the trim on the second floor windows! he hung a rope from the center of that board and hung the paint can from that!

(also, i mentioned about your windows and he said maybe he could try to fix them - he'd have to look at them first, but he's going to mexico on tuesday and won't be back 'til the beginning of june...)
