Another update \o/ and more seriously, Sophie is fascinating the way she reads people and pieces what she learns together. I also liked the glimpse of something more to Parker, the fact that she isn't as flighty and oblivious to the others as she seems, she 'knows'that Sophie is taking in a lot more about everyone than is immediately obvious and the way Alec works out what that means.

I am worried about poor Eliot but glad that Nathan is there with him, even if he won't admit he needs anything. If anyone can gently take the walls down and let him be, it's Nate.
More soon? Please?

Wishing you all the best for the New Year - much fun and happy writing. xx

Thank you! I'm glad you like this Sophie. I had no idea she was going to turn out this way until I was already writing her. :) And Parker... I was considering having Sophie read Parker too, but I didn't think I could get anything as poetic or insightful.

I think the next part will be plot, or at least Agency evilness. I have to get a lot written in this next week because my muse is having a field day with the preview for next week's ep.

Happy New Year('s Eve)!

Oh this is getting very, very interesting! I like the dream explanation too, very good! I love how Sophie clued Parker and Alec in on Nate and Elliot, you've really got the characters down, this is excellent!

Thank you! *grins and blushes* I had this scene planned for a while, and was just hoping it wasn't too much of a non-sequitur/pointless scene. :)

You're breakin' my heart for poor Eliot.

And Sophie kicks ass--I love that she just matter-of-factly lays it all out there for Parker and Hardison.

I just got caught up on this series. It's really interesting. Since the first part my brain has been convinced that it's a Dark Angel crossover. Have you ever seen the show? The similarities aren't so much now that more is being revealed but the idea just won't get out of my head. Anyway this is really good and I can't wait to see where it goes.

Thank you! Believe me, you're not the only one who made the connection, but it was entirely unintentional. I've seen a little bit of DA, but I don't know enough about it for it to be the first thing that comes to mind when I see someone who moves as fast as Eliot. The barcode was half-coincidence, half-standby--it's not an entirely uncommon plot device in sci-fi stories, and I personally like it. It provides instant identification AND a creepy element to the Agency in that it's so dehumanizing.

I have the next part brewing, so hopefully it won't take too long to write!

P.S. If you were to write a DA crossover, I'd LOVE to read it. ;)

It's good to hear I'm not completly crazy. I skimmed through the comments and didn't see anyone mention it. It wasn't even the barcode that triggered the connection in my mind. I started reading this when I was about half way through the Nigerian Job and Eliot said something like 'I don't like guns' which was always a big thing with Max. That's what got me thinking.

I might think about it. Kind of fail at finishing things but who knows.
