The thing about this film is, although I thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was, it didn't feel to me like it was consistent with the other Hannibal films - particularly in terms of the characterisation of Hannibal himself. I dunno, I really liked it. It fit some of the allusions made to his past during the course of the books that dealt with him (which'd mainly be Hannibal).

I was glad that it got expanded into a dedicated movie, because the little teaser bits that were in Hannibal were awesome and did their job to make me want more.
