Are you going to try for the party/concert James thing?

Sorry to hear about your sister and mom....a lot of people around have been ill, lately. Makes me think there's something in the air/water. :(

My plane lands Friday morning at 9am. I have a friend who gets in on Thursday and she is going to try to get us tickets. If we get in, woohoo. If we don't, I don't need to spend the money anyway. I'm trying to be philosophical about it.

I am beginning to wonder about what exactly is in the water. Sickness abounds.

I was thinking about going but I didn't think anyone I knew was going. Now I'm sad.
You'll have to do a full report and be sure you go that private dinner with James and Gareth so I can get a full report!

Ingrid is going to try to get us tickets for the party. Who knows if we will get in. Only 60 tickets. Wish us luck. I don't arrive until Friday morning, so it's all up to Ingrid.

My sister had the same problem after the birth of my nephew. Our family history is prone to hypertension anyway, so I think the pregnancy just triggered it. It a bear, but medication helps. I hope she gets better soon.

And my Dad suffers from arthritis, so I sending positive and healing thoughts out to your Mom. It's really tough when a parent is going through something like that.

I look forward to seeing you at DragonCon. thefangirl and I are rooming together at Wyndham Gardens Downtown. I'm getting in on Friday morning. I'll give you a call and we can arrange a time/place to meet, have a drink, catch up, whatever....

Donna is back at work. My fingers are crossed that this latest medication change will work.

Mom is in the middle of a flare up of her arthritis. It's not good. I wish the doctors would give her better pain meds. I hate it when she is in such pain.

So sorry to hear about your Mom's RA. Mine had it too, and it was a total bitch to deal with (the RA, not my Mom - LOL!) I'm also sorry to hear about your sister - maybe she could try adding garlic caplets/capsules to her diet? They won't interact badly with her meds, and chances are they'll help bring her blood pressure down again.

RA is a real bitch. Mom's flare up is really bad this time. She rarely asks for pain meds. But she's in tears. She can't move her right hand at all or bend her right elbow. They've got it in a sling. She told me her cats were very interested in the sling. And that little Eli was sticking close to her. I'm sure he knows she's hurt.

Little Eli is a kitty, I assume? Then he's being a good nurse, trying to heal her with kitty vibes and stuff.

Would your Mom be interested in some visualization techniques I got for my Mom way back when? If so, I'll email deets to you.

Little Eli isn't little any more. But he is still a kitten. My Mom feeds some strays in town. One night she was feeding them and she heard a kitten crying. She followed the sound and found Eli. She had to bottle feed him around the clock because he was so young. But she kept him alive and he adores her.

I'll be honest, I don't know if Mom would do it or not. At this point though, I believe she would be open to trying just about anything. She's hates taking pills so being able to do something that did not involve taking a pill would be her happy. Please send the info. Thanks again.
