Sorry for posting yet another time. I didn't want to make my previous post too messy and I promise you it's worth it! Iggy Pop's Mask lyrics.... yep Ville has always been a big fan of Iggy. there's even a video of an early Jyrki show in Finland where HIM covered this song (i remember Ville holding a piece of paper with the lyrics written on it while singing because he didn't know them by heart LOL)...

Oh that's the part I wasn't too sure about, 'irony' rather than 'I need'. Thanks a lot! That's good that he had a piece of paper, he probably should have had one of these during that festival in Glasgow in 2007. Gosh I felt so bad watching him screw up his own lyrics that much...

I was talking about the "Give it a name" festival. My bad it was in Birmingham, not in Glasgow... Anyhow you've probably seen a video already, there is one on YT where Bert McCracken gives Ville a kiss on stage. To sum it up, Ville forgets half the words in most of the songs, he doesn't sing very well and he cuts all the verses short. He said himself that he was very drunk during that show and that it was a breaking point from him. Keep in mind they did the festival in april 2007 and Ville went to rehab in mid-may of the same year. It probably was one of their last shows since they recorded Venus Doom in may. Ville stayed 28 days in rehab so the sobered-up shows didn't start until june.

I'm pretty sure that it was this show Linde was talking about when he said in interview that before Ville went to rehab, there were shows during which they didn't have fun playing.
