I'm resuming writing, trying to, right now and my god it's so hard. I have a whole stack of waste paper to do notes on but really nothing beats the times when the plot was all in my head and grew straight out of my fingertips pure as an underground spring. Painting blues
I joined a watercolour painting class a few weeks ago, and bought the cheapest brand of paper reccommended by the materials list. Now, after spending much time and effort tracing an intricate countryside scene onto three sheets of that paper, I find that the paper fibre is coming off in little tufts when I put on the paints. The whole two years have been a mess. At the end of it, I haven't achieved anything.
The funny thing is, I could have chosen to undo the mistakes of the first year, by making this year, 2008, my second first-year. I didn't because I thought I could do it with a large enough push.
