It may be, Father Palladio. Surely, most of the tales of Whitebeard are just that. But perhaps there is a grain of truth to this one. We shall see, I suppose.

Not necessarily. If nothing comes of this, then perhaps I have wasted my time. But if this children's story turns out to have truth to it, then my research will have done good.

Besides. Is assisting others ever "wasting time"?
