Attention passengers!
The Valkyrie Express has now arrived at Early Oats Town. This is a place that is unusual even by the standards of most other places the train has visited, by the fact that the town is abundant with creatures known as
Pokemon. Don't be surprised to see them roaming about and ready to interact! We are currently scheduled to leave this location on April 5th, so please enjoy the stay until then.
The hot spots for this station stop are as follows:
MAGTRAM Station - The Valkyrie Express is currently standing in the station that is usually reserved for a magnet train to travel to other locations. Because of this, the magnet train is unavailable for transit while the Valkyrie Express is here. The station itself is rather small and is mostly outdoors aside from a ticketing and administration office.
Pokemon Center - This is a facility where Pokemon are taken to be treated for injury, similar in respects to a hospital. However, there is a large lounge for people to rest, a cafeteria open most of the day, and computers available for limited use.
Pokemon Mart - There are many Pokemon-related things for sale here, from various medicines and devices to a plethora of themed merchandise including plush dolls and key chains. This is likely the place to go for a really good souvenir!
Super Mart - Not quite hyper, but much better than just a regular mart! This is the other place to go shop for those who want practical items and merchandise without the Pokemon flair. A wider variety of things can be found in this supermarket, and for a better price. Beware of bootleg trinkets trying to hide in plain sight, however.
Happiny Ever After - The local Bed and Breakfast Inn is a great place to go if one is looking for an old-fashioned, relaxing experience. The omelets are good, the beds are comfy, and the downstairs area has a bar and a piano. The garden outside is pretty well maintained, too. Rates to stay here are $50 per night.
Training School - This is a small school that often offers classes on Pokemon-related topics. The atmosphere is very kid-friendly. They also offer an arts and crafts room for young people to use freely. Open classes may be announced as available for those interested in attending.
Budew Park and Playground - Near the school there is a park with wide open spaces and a path for walking or bicycling. One of the well-known features is a playground with lots of slides, bars and other attractions that are obviously inspired by certain Pokemon. The open field area is used often to play sports, including some light practice Pokemon battles.
Early Oats Battle Tent - The town's Battle Tent is where most people go to see some serious action. Contests and tournaments for Pokemon are held here every so often. Like going to the big top at a circus, there is lots to see even if you don't directly participate in battles. Fast food is everywhere, and you can enjoy some Pokemon-themed carnival games or get your picture taken with a cuddly critter or a fierce fighter.
That is all for now.
