Livingston Legacy 3.0
Happy Valentine's Day! My gift for the holiday is the first update of generation 3!
Last time around there were some birthdays, surprise twins, and a heir poll.
Based on the heir poll, I am happy to announce that Lysander will be taking over the legacy.
He came in first with 7 votes, Naeva and Reuben tied for second with 2 votes each.
Anywho, on with the show!
This is pretty much all you'll be seeing of these to as babies. They generally just cry and sleep. They aren't nearly as much of a handful as Reuben and Byron were though. The second either of them so much as cries theres about 5 people running to take care of them. So, I pretty much just ignore them most of the time. They're getting cared for and that's all that matters.
Randall: Ahhhhhhzzzzahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Naeva, I don't think that's how you're supposed to convince someone to be your boyfriend...
Randall: Hahaha, that was really funny! Good one Naeva.
Or maybe it is, I guess?
Naeva: If we're going to be together you should know that I'm a criminal mastermind. Muahahahahahaha!!!!
Randall: *gasp* The horror! I must shield my eyes from the sight of you!
Randall: How could you do this to me? Now we can never be together.
Naeva: I think you're overeacting a bit. I just work in the criminal career.
Evidently Randall's totally okay with being zapped by a hand buzzer, but not at all into dating a criminal.
So, I guess that's over now.
Congratulations Lysander, you're the heir!
Lysander: Hush. I must concentrate to perfect this drink.
Uh, okay. Just thought you might be a even a little excited about taking over the legacy.
Guess I'll leave you to it then.
Naeva: The nerve of that guy! He wouldn't go out with me just because I'm a criminal!
Keziah: Honey, this is probably for the best. You wouldn't want to be with someone who didn't support your goals now would you?
Wow. Keziah's actually giving good advice.
Naeva: I'm still angry! I must plot my revenge!
Okay, whatever you say Naeva. You really need to learn to deal with rejection better.
Sometimes I really think she's actually hot-headed and not gloomy. She's never sad, but she always seems to be mad about something. Goodness gracious.
Keziah: Ha! Take that you no good dirty rotten garbage can! Nobody messes with Keziah Livingston!
In other news, Keziah seems to be going crazy.
Reuben and Byron are still alive and well by the way. Reub's basically attached to his easel making money, and I don't really know what Byron does. I've just been leaving him to do his own thing mostly.
Lysander is still in love with computer games, and he still thinks he has the geek trait.
I dragged our heir away from his precious computer long enough to send him out to the local bar spouse hunting.
He just so happened to run into the always lovely Sadie Goth. She's already been a young adult for awhile, but she's really pretty.
So, if Lysander really likes her and can't find anyone more suitable, I might try and get them together.
Lysander: Hey girl! What's up?
Old Lady: *seethes* You young people and your flirting. So shameless.
Lysander & Sadie: *ignore*
Sadie's so pretty, and she gets along with Lysander - which is awesome!
Lysander: I'm so done with this place man. It makes me so angry.
Then Lysander got into one of his moods and I decided it was time to head home.
Back at home James has taken up watching fiery infernos on television.
Oh look, it's Byron! He's been working on his aspiration on the computer a lot lately.
Or just doing whatever he wants, I haven't been paying much attention.
There's too many people in the house to keep track of them all.
Lysander's still grouchy, or maybe he just doesn't want to do the dishes.
Sometimes I think Lysander actually wants to be a model.
I mean look at him posing on the couch. He does stuff like that all the time.
Lysander: Check me out ladies.
Lysander, like many other members of the Livingston family, decides to take his aggresion out of Blarffy.
Naeva: He took the last serving of pancakes. That's okay though, I'll just eat something else. It's not like pancakes are my favorite food and the only thing I'll eat for breakfast. *rages inside*
Reuben: Hmmmmm...delicious pancakes!
This is what happens when one of the babies cry. Everyone goes running to their aid and there's a pile up near the stairs.
Awww...aren't they cute?
No wonder she got pregnant again.
Naeva: I don't know what to do. *wimpers*
It'll be alright, it's not the end of the world.
Naeva: Yes it is!!!!
Okay then, I'll just leave you to your game.
Naeva: Congratulations on being heir little bro. I didn't really want it anyway. A husband and kids isn't really my dream.
Lysander: Thanks sis, I'm glad you're alright with this.
Oh look at that - babies! I seriously never have to worry about them, between the 6 grown sims in the house they get pretty well taken care of.
The chess board is getting used again! I think the tv broke though, so that's probably why xD
They only play chess as a last resort in this house.
Reuben: Check out my moves!
Meanwhile Reub tries to woo Joyce with his killer dance moves.
I'd say it worked pretty well ;)
Reuben: Joyce, we've been good friends for awhile now and I really like you...
I mean...what I'm trying to say is...will you be my girlfriend?
I guess this means she said yes?
Reuben: I've got to update my status to taken!
And then they celebrated their new relationship status.
The new outfit means James got a promotion to line cook, yay!
One more promotion and he can enter the mixology branch.
Tatiana likes to visit her new grandaughters.
A mob of sims dancing can only mean one thing - it's Lysander's birthday!
Lysander takes the opportunity to chat up the lovely Leyla Bray...
who I may or may not have added to the game with the specific purpose of marrying Lysander.
Leyla was made by gellysims over on tumblr.
James does what he does best and mans the bar for the party. He needs to tend the bar for his aspiration anyway so its kind of win-win I guess you could say.
And then James' brother Ezra died.
That kind of dampened the mood a bit.
Everyone but Leyla was sobbing.
Leyla: Why's the old guy sparkling like that, and who's the creepy guy in the black hood?
She was completely oblivious.
So, anyway, I ended up failing at throwing a birthday party.
Lysander refused to blow out the candles before the time was up for the party.
He finally did it minutes after the party ended, with only Reuben and Grimmy to cheer him on.
Grim Reaper: *sings* Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you!
Reuben: Dude! It's the grim reaper! Cool!
Not long after that the twins decided to make their entrance into childhood.
Cecily has black hair and the mean trait. She wants to be a social butterfly.
The blonde one is Abeline, who is a rambunctious scamp and a goofball.
Being as she has the rambunctious scamp aspiration, Abeline hopped on the monkey bars right away.
Abeline: Hey, how's it going?
Lysander: Who let this random kid into the house?
That's your sister Lysander.
Lysander: That is not my sister, I think I'd know if I had a sister other than Naeva.
Evidently not.
I was running out of room in the house after the twins aged up, so it was time for Naeva to move out.
I decided she didn't really seem like she'd want to have a family of her own, I think she'd focus more on her career.
So, I sent her to live with her cousins.
I also forgot to put her up in the gallery, but I'll try and get that done next time I play the game. I need to add Lysander as well.
Speak of the devil, Lysander headed out to the park for some more spouse hunting. He just so happened to run into Leyla while he was there. Convenient, eh? xD
They're both young adults now, so Lysander set about wooing her.
She actually hadn't seemed to respond very well when they were at his birthday party, but I wanted to give it a second go.
They ended up getting along awesome this time around.
Lysander: I know I only met you yesterday or something like that, but I'd really like you to be my girlfriend.
Leyla: I'd love to be your girlfriend!
I'm sorry you guys don't get a customary first kiss image. It's Leyla's fault xD
I left them alone for a minute to scope out the rest of the park and see what was going on. When I returned I found that Leyla had initiated their first kiss and they were just ending it. I didn't have a chance to get a picture of it sadly. On the bright side, I take it to mean Leyla really likes Lysander. That's always a good thing!
After agreeing to be his girlfriend Leyla promptly decided to leave.
So, I sent Lysander home.
Back at home Cecily was playing in the trash.
I guess she was bored, there isn't really much for toys or anything in the house. We haven't had the money for that.
There was enough money to give the twins a proper bedroom though. I think it turned out quite nicely!
James has actually been bringing in enough money that we can manage to pay the bill and have a little bit left to save for other things.
Lysander reached level 4 of the mixology skill and can do this neat little trick now.
I also put him in the culinary career, so he's been bringing in a bit of money as well.
Now, I was surprised to find that Keziah had a whim to marry James being as she's Non Commital and all.
I decided to test that out and get James to propose to her.
James: Keziah Livingston, you are the most wonderful woman I have ever met. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?
Keziah: How could I say no to such a nice shiny ring?
I had them get married right away in the living room. I would have given them a nice wedding, but I've been saving up so that Lysander can have a proper wedding and giving them a wedding would have set me back a bit.
I now present Mr. and Mrs. Livingston!
And then Keziah wanted to try for a baby again.
Keziah, no more kids! It's Lysanders turn now.
Cecily has joined the rest of her siblings in doing her homework by herself.
All these kids get A's within days of starting school and I don't even have to try that hard.
It's kind of amazing. I'm thinking the next generation's kids will probably be little beasts to make up for it though.
This is Penny Constance, who is adorable and also by gellysims.
I had moved her in with Leyla as another potential spouse. Lysander's settled on Leyla though, so I guess she just gets to wander around the neighbourhood looking cute xD
Lysander has been working on his cooking skills for his new culinary career.
He definately needs some practice still.
Lysander: What are you talking about, I'm an amazing chef!
Riiiiiiiight. Trust me bud, you need some more practice. You almost lost that bowl of batter.
Leyla came to visit for a bit right before Lysander had to leave for work.
Aren't they just the cutest? I can't wait to see what generation 4 turns out like!
We're going to end this here now. I've been loving playing these guys lately so I'm hoping to be updating fairly frequently. I'd also like to get another chapter of The Whitakers up, but I'm having a bit more touble deciding where to go with that. Also, I'm leaving for a basketball trip on wednesday and will be gone for awhile, so don't expect to see much of me next week.
