How did they do on their assignment:

Muggle Artifact Oral Presentation

IC Due Date: Presentation times will be scheduled the week of 11-14 April, during office hours.
OOC Due Date: Saturday, 16 April

Your homework assignment will have a little tweak to it, courtesy of recent events.

You will be assigned a Muggle object, past or present. You will give an oral report on what the object is, a brief history of the object, what wizarding uses could be ascribed to it, and what your honest opinion is of the object -- is it useful or is it junk? I will be asking questions at the end; they will not count as part of your time. You may use whatever props you like to help you in the course of your presentation.

Third years: Your presentation should be a minimum of two minutes but no longer than five.

Fourth-Fifth years: Your presentation will be a minimum of five minutes.

Sixth-Seventh years: Your presentation will be ten minutes long, with a 30-second leeway.

[ooc: Go ahead and pick an object; just pretend Marcus assigned it to you.]

All Years (3+): Motion Pictures Essay
IC Due Date: Friday, 4 March
OOC Due Date: Saturday, 12 March
Write an essay about what kinds of uses Muggle motion pictures could have in the Wizarding will. There is no length limit, but the longer the essay the greater the chance to earn House points in addition to a good grade.
