Why do I always leave things 'til the last minute? Why am I a chemistry major? Why did I take on this much work this semester and tell myself that things would be different, that I would be the studious one, that I would be diligent, and that everything would be happy and perky and dandelions and happiness

You probably shouldn't drop it, unless it's a one year course. Coz I know my semester's almost over, isn't yours too?
You wouldn't want to waste all that time... and "effort" ...
jk jk, I know you put effort in it.
But seriously, isn't there a section you can take for ppl who have already taken the course but failed it? Where you can re-do assignments or just keep your old ones (or something similar?)
And consider this. If you were to withdraw, it would show on your reccord. If you get a C, sure it damages your GPA, but if you're considering higher education, in your cover letter, you can explain that you were having a hard time life wise and that you felt the need to finish the course, because you don't like to give up (++), rather than widthrawing and starting over.
I gotta go to a test, but feel free to PM me or something, k?

That's entirely untrue. You belong here, and I'm sure happy to have you here. As for your classes, this time of year is hectic for everyone...but usually you only need to ask for one extension and the whole load will seem managable again. Try talking with your professors- they don't want you to fail, either.
I would also like to plug the summer orgo lecture/lab series (of which you can take either one or both semesters) not because it's informative (because it's not), but because it's relatively easy.
