I Tried My Best Until I Struck Out

Disclaimer: I stole this from meltintall3...

Just a note: When I did these sorts of memes years ago, I would always have a little commentary on every song title. However, I’m not sure if it was fun or annoying or just distracting to the readers, so I’ve tried to mostly leave it out here. I can probably give thoughts on any song, though, by request. ;)

I stole it from the internetz, so no worries there. :p

HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY? -- I have days like that. I really like that song, but I still haven't found the version I heard first, and which I keep measuring all others against my memories of it... :p

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET? -- that's not the scene where Danielle tries to tell Henry hers, is it? ;))

Vienna Tang is the artist on the FMA song-vid you sent me awhile back, yes? :)

Okay, good. ;))

True, I guess I did feel a bit raggle-taggle today. ;)) Hmm, I think I've only heard two different versions of the song---do you remember anything about the singers in the version you heard?

I actually have no idea. :P It looks to be too early in the soundtrack listing, but they're not always in order and I haven't seen the film in ages, so I don't remember what that part sounds like. (It was another $0.50 find at the booksale. :D)

Yes, that was Vienna Teng. :) I've got...8 songs by her currently and would like to buy some more whenever I get around to it. I don't like all of her songs, but almost all of them are still very pretty. :)

I want to say the first version of Raggle Taggle Gypsies was sung by a group of (I assume) Irish tenors, but I can't remember if it was on a CD I got from the library or if I heard it on the radio via the program Thistle and Shamrock.

The most striking thing I remember is that there's a part in the second line where most/all of the ones I've heard since go down and I remember it going up.

I WOULD have heard the odd one out first. ;))

Hmm... I'm not sure. ;)) I am, however, investigating the Thistle and Shamrock connection; do you know when you first heard it? :) (Very cool, by the way - I love that program! :D For a while they took it off our radio for some reason, but it can back several years ago, which makes me very happy.)

Hey, well, at least it's distinctive. ;))
