And I love that you highlighted that particular passage, since that was sort of my thesis -- if I can use that word -- in terms of where they were at and where I wanted to take them, that the island still does have this hold on them, putting them in this loop they can't escape even with the geography distancing them from the place.
And I loved especially your prompt about worrying about the other's safety, because that's such a writing kink of mine, and it's such a cool facet of their relationship, so thanks for that too!
And whewn before I write a novel -- thank YOU for all this inspiration when I wasn't sure if I'd write another longer Lost fic; very, very appreciatedm ;D
