This appeared in the local section of my hometown newspaper, the Knoxville News-Sentinel, today. Enjoy! Even though Chelsea, Maria, and I were interviewed by a local news reporter, it seems that the paper just took an article written by Dr. Dunn and put it directly in the paper ( Read more... )

Its true. And was a shock to me when I found out about it. I showed up at Awards Day and there it was on the program.

Needless to say, not only am I extremly uber-humbled by its existence, its something I hardly ever mention about myself, per reactions likes yours. :)

I am so impressed, Valerie. Those are some serious accomplishments. Hope all is well with you. BTW, how do you like living in Atlanta. I'm really interested in moving there sometime in the future (depending on career, of course). Maybe you should write a blog about your experiences in the ATL. Pros and Cons! Anyway, congrats on the article.

Thanks Paige! I definitely appreciate it. :) I will definitely set to task about a pro/con list of Atlanta. It may be a better list to do once I'm here for a year and see what its like in all seasons, but I've definitely got a feel for this town. Its no KnoxVegas, I'll tell you that!

Valerie is mistaken. This is not what appeared in the local section of the paper. This was something posted on the website on 11/30 and yes it is an exact copy paste of Dr. Dunn's article. The written article on us is acutally quite nice, only a few little bobbles in facts. :) However, you have to live in west knoxville to get it... sorry

Imagine my surprise when I opened up the paper tonight and saw pictures of three good friends from high school on the cover of the West Side section. I definitely enjoyed reading the article. I had no idea you three ladies had accomplished so much, and I congratulate you (and Maria and Chelsea if they read this by chance) on all your wonderful travels and work.
