Ok,so I guess I'll have to anonymous because I'm not a LiveJournal user... Well poo! Most of the monikers of yours are the same for me :P My rock star name is pretty cool though. Ok,that's all. Just wanted to reply to something since I've been reading it September and all.

Am I really missing out though? I've seen Episode 1 and 2 and the original Star Wars (number 4) and I played with the Ewok tree growing up, but I really have no desire to see these George Lucas Films. I'll watch Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, but sci-fi movies really hold no interest to me. Plus if I'm going to start on a movie series, I'd rather tackle the Godfather or all the Rocky movies. :)
Actually, Admiral David Farragut, famous for proclaiming, "Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!" as he fought the confederates close to your hometown (Dauphin Island, my friend), was a YANKEE!!! He settled outside Knoxville (which, if you know your civil war history, was neutral during the war) and started the town of Farragut.
Dammit, you're right. You're right, and now you've publicly shamed me. I need a moment alone to collect my dignity.
Quick note: Indiana, apparently was FULL of Confederate sympatizing towns. And Indiana also, at one time, had the nations largest amount of registered KKK members. Racisim - it's not just for southerners!

I miss that up here. For some reason, you don't find many Robert E. Lee or Jefferson Davis High Schools around Indianapolis. What a shame.

Besides, I remember the day when I realized my high school was named for a Yankee... and a smile crept across my face. Long live neutrality!
