Well, as I suspected it might (and jelsemium hoped- thanks for prodding the muse for this!), this series has now become a mixture of drabble and non-drabble fics. This vignette is also not the only non-drabble length fic I've got planned for the series (the other one may even be a fic told in parts or chapters!), so we'll just see what it turns into in the end.

As for this fic, I simply didn't see how I could possibly do justice to both Don and Billy's reactions to the events of Wolves at the Gate and Exposed in drabble format. It needed to be told in a different format, so I went with a vignette instead ( ... )

Whee! I'm thrilled to see a nice long juicy part of this. It's a great story and I love your Don and his matter of fact calm reaction to Billy. Great stuff!

Yeah, poor Donny is a little fried here between the shock of seeing the impossible and the concussion, so he falls back on old habits. Good thing, though, as it gives Billy something else to focus on at first.

This was a brilliant part of the series... So very much in character, too, with the gruff and macho sides of both men appearing and the conversation just flowing and...

Oh, I am looooving this :D

I'm glad you liked it so much, I had a blast writing it! The gruff and macho was especially fun to do, I can just picture the two of them being unable to say everything they'd be feeling and they did rely so much on nonverbal communication in Man Hunt.

Do you think it's too much to hope for that, now that The Unit has been canceled, we'll see Billy again on the show?

It is not... I am very much hoping for a reunion since he was one of he guest stars that made one of the biggest impacts :D

The actor was also in CSI... Heh... He played an evil guy, and still kinda was in tune with Billy *snicker* There is a dark side to the man that could be explored... Hm... *plotbunnies*

Lol, pity I missed those!

With any luck, the next drabble in this series will be up tomorrow or Wednesday.
