This is just a random drabble that came to me, completely unprompted.

*Looks sideways at it and pokes it warily with a stick*

The drabbles are taking over! Eep!
Seriously, I'm not sure where this came from. All of my previous drabbles resulted directly from a numb3rs100 prompt.

For those curious about the title, it is Flemish/Dutch for 'unexpected.' I thought it appropriate not only because Don wasn't expecting this from Ian, but because I wasn't expecting this drabble either!

Thanks. This is only my second slash fic, so it's good to know it worked.

As for more, I don't have anything else planned, but then this drabble wasn't planned either.

1) Nice! Always like Don/Ian, but this was a tantalizing nugget of slashy goodness.

2) It's not posted on N100? /cries/ I know it wasn't written for one of our prompts, but that's not a reason for not posting it! We've had Don/Ian as a challenge pairing, so even if you don't want to match it up to a prompt after the fact it's still valid for posting based on challenge pairing.

Please?

/makes Dickens orphan eyes/

P.S. I like the title.

1) Thanks!

2) Ah, good point, I hadn't thought of the challenge pairings. Well, that and I wasn't sure if we were allowed to post drabbles there that hadn't really originated from a prompt or challenge from the comm. If so, I'll add it right away.

With the title, I was absolutely cluesless at first. Normally the title comes midway through a fic and if it doesn't, I always flounder a bit. So I fell back on my mothertongue.

Our hope is that people write fic for prompts, but we're realistic. Sometimes people get a bunny, write it, then look to see if a prompt fits it. You can do that, especially if you want credit for a prompt to like fill up a table or get you closer to 100 prompts, but it's also valid to post fic with just a challenge pairing/character (which probably covers like 98 percent of the fic out there).
