Can anyone recommend a birth control that stops your period? If men bled from their dicks there'd been a cure for this shit before the wheel was invented.

Here is a list I found quite helpful when I was researching it in the end I decided to keep my periods for now because I only get three a year anyways

You can use hormonal contraceptive to skip your period (that is, the Pill or NuvaRing) by putting in a new ring as soon as the old one expires instead of waiting a week/going on to the next pill package instead of taking the week of "sugar pills"

I use the ring and I recommend it so much. You literally forget about it. You can leave it in for sex or take it out as long as you put it back after 3 hours. It's the same drug as the Pill, but a much less high dose, because it goes direct into your bloodstream, and so it has pretty much no side effects.

The ring is just shoved up there? I had a diaphragm once and it bothered me. Thanks for the advice!

I had the Nuvaring for a while, and I *loved* the convenience of it, but it screwed up the PH in my vagina and gave me chronic yeast infections, so I had to stop using it. YMMV, but if you're susceptible to yeast at all, Nuvaring might not be a good choice for you.

Idk. I've never used a diaphragm but I'm under the impression they have to be 'fitted' to a particular place? This is a soft flexible rubber ring (like one of those round rubber bracelets ppl wear 12 million of, but smaller, obv) and yeah you just squish it and stick it up yourself and the vag wall muscles hold it in place. I can not feel it once it is in there, at all, like a tampon - less than I can feel a tampon, as I feel them occasionally - but I guess some ppl have trouble with that as well.

I have the Mirena and haven't had a period in the four years since I got it. I love it.

I was on the progestogen-only pill and was spotting quite frequently, but about 3 months ago I had the progestogen injection and haven't bled since. And my doctor said that that's the case for almost all women who have the injection. It's great!

I've been on Seasonique that gives you four periods a year. Right now I'm on Lybrel where there are no periods. Yay!
