i had this thought once about breathing -- there's a reason we breathe, and stop breathing when we die. that is when we quit taking this world inside ourselves and making ourselves a part of it. so talking is just another form of making yourself a part of this world.

also, i think the fact that we can't see our own faces means that we need others. why else would such expression and beauty exist? for others. for the purpose of connection and communication.
