Is anybody out there? I'm feeling very alonish lately. All my friends are too busy to hang out with me (except Eddie) and even when I do make plans, I end up being a grump and cancelling them because I'd be poor company ( Read more... )

Yes, May is going to be great! Keep that thought in mind. Tell me about your trip, where are you going exactly? What things are you excited to see? Are you by any chance going to Bruges? One of my favourite historical novels, Niccolo Rising by Dorothy Dunnett, is set there. I recommend it. Place-appropriate reading is a good thing to do before travelling!

We ARE going to Bruges. I must look up this book and see if I can get my paws on it beforehand. To be honest, I haven't had enough time to properly plan. I should do that soon. I'm just very excited about seeing someplace totally new.

Valderie, I'm rarely on here so I didn't see this 'til today.

Focus on the positive; count your blessings and what you have rather than what you don't have; accept invites out.

::hugs:: I'll see you in 3 weeks and you can fall in love with London. In the meantime, I hope you're researching what you want to do when here.

I was directing the "anybody out there?" to the world in general. My job is really getting to me...or rather, the complete boredom that is my job is getting to me. And it really is that no one is around. I'm not a big planner myself and I never hear from anyone making plans.

I am trying to keep positive. And one big positive is an exciting trip to LONDON! Can't wait to see you and it! I will answer your email with my details soon, but I am arriving at Gatwick...

More later! V.

Hey Val,
I'm sorry if I've been off the map lately. I promise that I will make an intelligent response to that note you sent me on Facebook regarding like choices. It can be scary, but also exciting. Keep your focus on the exciting part, not the scary!.
Also, revel in Cake Month (am I right about this time of year? Isn't this the time where nearly all your loved ones [and you] are celebrating birthdays?), and this fantastic trip that is coming up! I'm jealous! :)

YES! Cake Month has begun! I have already eaten a large piece of cake today.

Don't worry about making intelligent responses. I was just making sure that I made a statement like that to enough people, so that if I'm still in this job in May of '09, someone has the nerve to kick me. Or lots of someones.

Planning trip! Will give you details and show off pictures! You still at the same address?

Cake sounds heavenly...I hear you on the job thing. I feel the same way about my job (I really don't want to be doing contract work this time next year) and my apartment (must find something better before the summer is over!).
With regards to trip photos and details, which address do you mean? My Hotmail one? Yes, I still use that one but I'm also partial to my Rogers address these days. Either one will do.
