It's been like that since The Tale of Genji. Those guys are sexist. They don't respect women or womens' works of art. I don't know if you can change their minds. They're freaking out at the notion of competing with a woman.

Besides, real men only want to hearing about fucking, not romance. Romance is that shit that women put men through to get to the nookie. Real men get it over with.

Hmmm. You know, I don't recall seeing Lee or Ann posting on DA at all lately. Think perhaps the mods got a little tired of their ongoing feud, and booted them off? Frankly, they both irritate me.

DA doesn't boot anyone...they just lock threads when they get a little too out of hand. Ann was there the other day bitching at Tod Goldberg *rolls eyes* They all need to get a joint blog and have a cyber boxing event.

Lee Goldberg...him hating fanfic is a little weird to me, seeing as how he writes tv episodes for characters and concepts that weren't his. That's a lot like fan-fic, except he gets paid.

Frankly it's all a symptom of a much larger disease.

I have outright heard a man tell me, when talking with another woman "you two talk about the stupidest things" then walk away in disgust that we didn't have our full attention on him and his oh-so more important topics.

And of course the constant political talk of this pre-election time prompted a man to dismiss my entire point by saying "You don't know anything about this. Once you've been out in the world a little more, you'll know why I'm right."

Dismissive, condescending bastards are everywhere, and all seem to be experts on every topic imaginable. Well... at least the topics deemed important enough to them.
