That's the usual term, but the problem is that Jene isn't intersexed by any usual definition.
Jene is literally half male, half female, split right down the middle of the body. They were two people now kinda mushed together in the same body.
It's a classic sideshow thing, usually involving costumes and padding, and sometimes a single breast implant.This time, it's real.

Maybe since Jene's sexuality is fictional you can come up with your own terminology.

Androgyne is someone who lacks sexual identity, which Jene does not. It may work if hyphenated - andro-gyne - just to denote the two, separate sexes...

i like the idea of coming up with your own term. I don't think anything in the LGBT community covers this particular combination.
Perhaps something with a root in Janus or Gemini
