Hi there! Thanks for your reply/email :) I'm still at school right now, so I can't send you back a decent reply yet until I get home and have some free time. In the mean time, I would love it if you would add me to your journal so I can get to know you more :)
I actually thought I'd commented here - I did not, obviously. (or did you delte it? :o ;))
I'm Ruby and I'm also on the English Elisabeth forum that sort of... died! So we obviously share the Elisabeth love, and the Kata Janza love and we seem to have some other stuff in common too, like writing, learning languages, squeeling about musical actors/actress (oh I just got the Musical Forever cd and I spent my whole afternoon listening to it, while squeeling everytime a new song started...) so maybe we can be friends? :D
I don't recall deleting any comments, and I'm sure I wouldn't have deleted yours... LJ must have eaten it, it does it sometimes. Anyway, sure I can add you! While my friends-list is kind of too big at the moment, there's always room for another Elisabeth fan. ;) Especially one who shares other stuff, too.
The forum does seem to have kind of died. I've thought of trying to post something to help reviving it, but I haven't had the energy lately. Which reminds me, I think we actually talked about trading recordings at some point but then I never remembered to get back to you about that. Sorry! I've just been so tired and stressed that I forget lots of things.
And the Musical Forever CD is love and so is Kata Janza. :) A pity I missed seeing her as Elisabeth when I was in Budapest, but I did see the Musical Forever concert in Vienna. ;)
Ooh no, I already figured it out! I was just about to comment you and I had already written a little something, but then I had to leave (for dinner, I think) and I figured I'd do it later. And then I totally forgot about it, until I stumbled upon your lj today again.
I know - reviving a forum on your own is quite hard. I've tried too - with other forums - but it's so hard to bring a forum back to life. (IT'S ALIVE!) Yeah, we would trade for... Dezemberlieder, I think, but I finally have it know, so it doesn't matter! The cd is my new crack, though.
Ooh you saw it?! Was it very wonderful? But missing Kata Janza is a pity indeed. Anyway, thanks for adding! :D
The concert was quite lovely, except for the parts where Uwe Kröger was singing because he had big problems with his voice. Everyone else was great, though. The programme was a bit too predictable with the choice of songs, but at least there were some more unusual ones. It was quite thrilling seeing all these people live. Well, I'd seen Thomas, Lukas and Marjan previously in the TdV concert, but it was my first time seeing Carin, Pia and Maya (or Susan and Uwe, though I also saw them in Rebecca afterwards).
I was supposed to see Kata as Elisabeth, but there was a flu wave going around in the Operettszínház, lots of cast changes due to illness (I also didn't see Máté though I was supposed to see him once) and Kata also wasn't there on that night. But I also loved the other two Elisabeths I saw (Vágó Bernadett twice and Füredi Nikolett once), and hopefully some day I'll be able to see Kata, too...
Certainly! I'd actually been periodically thinking about friending you, too, but had not got around to doing anything about it. :) *goes and friends you now*
