The more I read about OOTP the more in love with it I am. I'm also finding it a fun activity to read fan reviews and note what scenes are mentioned in the inevitable sentence "I liked the movie a lot, but would have been happier if they'd included X and Y..." No two reviews have yet named the same lines or scenes ( Read more... )

Ah yes that movie is great isn't it? I found the changes so intelligent and not just random. I'm completely thankful to Goldenberg and Yates. I hope that Kloves will continue what Goldenberg did.

Anyway, I can totally relate with what you're saying about reading Ootp. I remember the first time I read it, I didn't knew how I felt because I was so ditzy in the end. You can feel the emptiness.

why would the Order guard it with their lives when they could just bring Harry in and have him drop it on the floor?

Seriously. If they don't want Fudge to know, then have a night-time Order field trip. It's not like the place seems to have any security.

And the prophecy? Lamest thing ever. The ending of OotP was anticlamatic. Sirius is dead - wait, what? - and the mysterious, deadly, magical, very important prophecy tells us nothing we didn't already know or could reasonably guess.

You know what I missed in the movie? Quidditch. Especially since Ron makes the team, Harry Fred and George get banned and then quidditch gets banned. Not really all that significant to the story, but it's nice that Ron makes the team. Oh yeah, and how Hermione kind of helps that process along.
