Well, in defense (?) of the second student, it was probably an iPod Touch. They look exactly like iPhones, and basically are iPhones, except they don't make phone calls.
I honestly don't understand why they need to be texting at EVERY. GIVEN. SECOND. Everywhere I turn, they're texting. Don't you just want to take a break from communicating with people sometimes?
I didn't mean that as a criticism of her choice to use two separate electronic devices; more a general bogglement that she could and would want to use them simultaneously while, er, elipting.
And yes, yes I do want a break from communicating sometimes. But the students? No, apparently.
Oh, I didn't think it was a criticism...it was as much a comment to myself as anything. B/c I was like, "Why would she have TWO phones?" And then I thought of the iPod touch. :D
Well, it's not the kind with things you work with your hands. Technically it's some kind of stair-stepper, not an elliptical. I'm sure you're thinking, "oh, now not impressed at all..." ;)
I guess it's the same as texting and walking, but I still can't imagine doing it without pitching off the machine. I'm just that bad at those machines. And hand eye coordination.
