I've been meaning to read more Gaskell after I liked Wives and Daughters, North and South, and Cranford so well. For me there will always be an interest in new BBC costume dramas. This sounds like the perfect candidate for adaptation.

I loved Bleak House. It definitely sucks you into its web.
