Been a long time!

BOOK: Last month I read Elizabeth Gaskell's Mary Barton for my Women & Work class.* I hadn't heard great things about it, but I ended up really enjoying it. I've been meaning to read more Gaskell after I liked Wives and Daughters, North and South, and Cranford so well. For me there will always be an interest in new BBC costume dramas. This sounds like the perfect candidate for adaptation.

I loved Bleak House. It definitely sucks you into its web.
