I just realized today that in the past six months I have moved, gone to two out-of-town weddings, took two 10-day business trips, took a trip back home just to visit family, got a dog (and put him in therapy), and entertained 14 (as of tomorrow, 18) guests. Plus day job, plus writing, plus running online magazine ( Read more... )

Kind of? LOL

One of the most annoying things is most some people have come, stayed, and criticized our lives/house/etc. (C's Dad: I love him, but may have to kill him), and it's taken every ounce of strength not to say in such cases "WELL, we WOULD be working on the house and our art, but instead we're taking your ass around town and going to the Georgia O'Keeffe museum for the seventh time since we got here and then going with you out to a dinner we can't afford that you're too cheap to pay for. THANKS EVER SO MUCH!"

See? MEGAalocrankodon.

I'm always so impressed by how much you shoulder, life wise, responsibility wise. Just everything. You are such an amazing/inspiring person. I never think I could do half of what you do. You deserve a major break.

Deesy, you're too sweet. You always are. *HUGS* Really, this is my own fault, in large part, I just...kind of hadn't seen the big picture until I kind of hit overload. Bad Val, *bad*.

Now, how are you??? I haven't heard from you in forever!!!! Please, please little update? Work/life/roomies/where are you living/what are you drawing?

Aw. I miss you tons. It was so nice to have you up here for the short period I did (and had Emily around too!) And it can be easy to not see the long term, but I'm glad you are going to get some rest in. I've always been one to focus too much on the relaxing part, so some day I'll have to follow your example.

I've been well. Still working and living in relatively the same places. I get paid more now, and deal with people less (A+), and live on the outskirts of the same college town I'm used to. I don't draw much these days unfortunately, but I get to write now and then. I wish I was better at keeping in touch with everyone. But instead I just drink up all the info I get from you guys on your LJs.
