one last thing...BF question

For those of you who BF, how long did you do it? I mean, I'm intending to BF until WIlliam hits one year old, but I'm not sure I want to BF full time until then. If you decreased your BF, how did you do it, and by how much? Right now, I'm still BF like 5 times a day?!?

I was just reading about weaning the other day. If you were to cut out a feeding now, you'd have to replace it with formula because bm should still be his primary source of nutrition. Anyway, from what I've read, you're supposed to cut out one feeding at a time and slowly get to 0. I can't remember, though, how long you cut one feeding before you move to cutting the next one. A week? I'll have to get back to you on that. lol

I know that we have to keep going with the milk as the primary source until one year old. I think this is what is bothering me, I'm to lazy to fix formula LOL!!! ;)

I BF Ryleigh until 14.5 months, but after 1 year, it was only once at night. She gradually stopped drinking so much, just before I went back to work, but she ate a ton! I really don't remember exactly when it stopped, but I know that I was still BFing about 4-5 times a day until about October, then she just kinda knew I guess. I'm pretty sure she would have continued to BF if I hadn't been PG too, but who knows for sure!
