Eh, I've been annoyed with LJ for several reasons for years now. That's why I don't use it (but periodically check it to keep in touch with friends like you who do (well, I think you're the only one left. You and another one who I also keep in touch with via Facebook, but she shares some stuff there some stuff here.)

There are a few users left that update, although usually not as often as in earlier times. I did manage to find the option to be rid of the top navbar again, but the pointer to it was fairly well hidden - and I still have to figure out how to get my "Friends page" back to the style I desire.

G+ didn't truly take off - though there are good number of people there, despite claims otherwise. And I utterly refuse to touch the security hole that is FaceBook.

Perhaps you can have a Twitter presence, like @TheKinkyTurtle. (I'm @dhkendall_ca).

I do have a G+ account too, but really I only use it so I can participate in live online chats.
