I'd probably come out exactly the same way as well. I grok (hmmm, spellcheck didn't catch that! Interesting!) the weakness bit, though. I don't understand most people because I'm so different from them.
I might actually over-empathize as I tend to give a benefit of the doubt a fair amount of the time, which I know annoys some. But yes, a lot does seem incomprehensible to the point where I suspect many people are insane but it's some acceptable default condition.
The parts I really agree with are:
You're so strange, people occasionally wonder if you're from another world.
You don't try to be different, but you see most things from a very unique, very offbeat perspective.
No matter what circles you travel in, you always feel like a stranger. And it's a feeling you've learned to like.
It's the perspective thing. I'm surprised by how people don't see the (absurdity of the) world around them. I don't know about having learned to like the outsider feeling. More that if it goes away I get worried that something might be wrong with me or that I might be getting suckered into something.
