One of the things I did when I returned home from Florida was stop in at the local Hardee's and have a roast beef sandwich. I normally do not go to Hardee's, or to any fast food place except Subway nowadays, but I had had a desire for their roast beef on my trip back. There was a long story line in the Brenda Starr comic strip a few years back about a chain of coffee shops called "Bigbucks". They were smuggling gems and cocaine in the hundred pound sacks of coffee beans, if I recall correctly...

Perhaps that accounts for the prices. Certainly taste does not. Starbucks is the worst coffee I've ever tasted, bar none.
