For the last couple weeks a coworker, I'll just call him KH, has been concerned with the health of his father. His father was diagnosed with some cancer. I don't know the details, and they don't matter. The cancer was quite advanced and he had days, or maybe weeks. *sigh* It's sad...I remember when my cousin Cameron got cancer...that was so tough. He was only 18 when he died and I think he was 15 or 16 when it started...He hung in there for a while, but it really impacted so many peoples lives...

We live in a world whose cruelties at times seem both infinite, and liable to strike those who are least deserving. We all have reason to be thankful who are not touched by ill-health, or any other of life's many misfortunes.
