A new credit card come-on appears

They call this one an "Up front reward" and claim not to have some complex reward program and no teaser rates. The bait is a "free" Dell Dimension 2400 desktop computer. But there are a few catches. "Free" is not free, of course.

THanks for the heads-up. I'm certain to see these offers, as I was a former customer (USB acquired Mercantile Bank, who handled my last car loan).

These days, I have to laugh at the offers. It's pretty hard to beat a 5% fixed card belonging to a person who has zero interest in spending beyond his means. :o)
