What is Trashbag Party?!

Every year, my friend Bob holds a party to label trashbags for a charity that gives gifts to kids in shelters and care centers. To protect anonymity, every family and child gets a code number, printed on a label. Then he gets a few thousand trashbags along with the labels, and a whole bunch of people spend an afternoon eating snacks and listening to music and laughing and labelling and folding and organizing the bags. Usually over the course of the day, about 30 people come and go from his house, and it's a loud and fun and silly way to be charitable.
