No one ever knows how others see them. Merlin fails to live in the right place and time on top of it.

This is fascinating. I love the way Merlin has lost touch with things and keeps having to remind himself he lives in the modern world. Nice touch to have Arthur mistaken for his son :)

The plot thickens! I love the way this story is unfolding and the way you're alternating Merlin and Arthur's veiwpoints. Merlin's confusion and Arthur's youth come across really convincingly.

After all, Merlin had already failed spectacularly in making Arthur survive to do what, in Merlin’s humble opinion, he very badly needed to do: die of old age.

Poor Merlin. I really hope he succeeds this time...
