I like the detailed setup -- the tunnel, the aliens in need of help, the stolen device, the time particles. And that damn self-sacrificing Doctor putting Jack through the wringer again, grrrr. (Not that he's having that good of a time himself...)
This part just tore my heart out:
Jack stares at the spot where the Doctor had been standing in the last moment of his life. There is nothing left of him, not even dust. Nothing for Jack to keep. To hold on to.
To bury.
And the image of Jack running, just running and trying to complete what the Doctor started, because the Doctor died for it and there's nothing else he can do.
And a bunch of nasty Time Agents. Oh goody.
