Rating: PG-13 Pairing: AU!Master/Doctor (10), Jack/Doctor Warnings: Character death Summary: It's the Doctor's ship and he decided where to go with it.
Ouch! This hurt so nicely! The ending is just so perfect for this story. It's quiet but far from meaningless. Like the previous commenter said before the implied idea that the Master flew his ship in the sun is so fitting and so representative of their relationship. A great ending for a great series.
I loved the scene on the beach. A moment of quiet peace before the end.
Thank you! I'm gald I managed to fit in the beach scene after all. And the Master felw into the sun - in the end the story ended exactly where I wanted it to.
OH my word, this was so good! I completely was seeing this through the Master's eyes and didn't think it'd be the end. What an ending though.. I liked the final passage, it tied the story up perfectly.
wow, i have just read the entire series and just wow! i nearly stopped reading a few times as the story almost got too much for me (but i didn't)i have cried my way through the last story. very moving (and disturbing in places) simply heartbreaking, one can only hope that they find some peace in their afterlife. well done on a brilliantly written story.
The entire series at once? Wow! I'm glad you didn't stop. Thank you for the feedback - I'm sure that the Master and the Doctor are better off this way, afterlife or not. If there is an afterlife and they go there together, peace will not be found for anyone ever again. :P

I was hoping it wouldn't feel too depressing in the end. But your're right, poor Jack!

I'm quite glad it's over. And I suppose so is the Doctor.
