Thanks you very much for your comment! This story was pretty difficult to write, and a lot of that is owning to the fact that Fraser's POV is extremely limited. There were a lot of things I would have liked to include in this story and couldn't because Fraser doesn't know about them. One of them is that Ray Vecchio's aversion to Kowalski doesn't neccessarily has to do with his friendship with Fraser (though that's a factor, too) and a lot to do with the fact that Kowalski is twitchy and arrgessively umpredicatble in his reactions sometimes and just puts Vecchio on gueard all the time, especially after Vegas.
I actually tried not to make Kowalski an asshole in this one, because I know I am biased and tried to compensate for it. As a result, in the first draft, Vecchio came across as too much of a dick, and then I tried to even it out some, but it seems like a went over the top

I can't stand Kowalski in those early episodes of Season 3, either, and I don't particularly like him in "BDTH." He just comes on way too strong to Fraser, although I think that's because he's trying to act as RayV would act with Fraser (except, of course, he doesn't want to try to save Frannie and Tony; RayV definitely would try to save them

Yeah, the ending of COTW rather pissed me off as well. I think it did many characters a disservice, not only RayV (though him most of all
