Aw, rats. That sounds pretty grim. I guess that's the one thing about freelancing (as I do); you're never really jobless, it's just getting a WELL-paying job that's tough.
What sort of job are you looking for? I have my fingers crossed for you. Sucks to be out of work, especially during the holidays. I hope you can find some small bit of joy! Cookie baking? Singing carols? Writing about imaginary characters snowed in? :)
It is pretty grim. Getting harder to believe it's ever going to get better, too, but I'm trying to stay positive.
Any job, basically. I'm an academic (Japanese studies and general linguistics) but I also worked as a secretary and an editor before, and I'm currently taking classes as a foreign language correspondant for English.
