I finished that Lost-story I was working on. And I hate it. It turned out awful. It's so pointless I had problems finding a title for it. Tiles are usually not my problems. (Okay, that was a shameless lie.)
Here it is:

Claire only saw him when she had come too close already, a dozen meters perhaps, not more - in the direction she came from he was ( Read more... )

Hi! Sorry it has taken me so long to comment on this - I've been in a bit of s strange mood recently and didn't want to inflict it on you. :)

Firstly - your story is not pointless, not at all. I really like it, it is a nice idea, it flows well, it has an excellent twist to it and the characterisation is excellent. I particularly like the way it switches from Charlie being (in some way) the bad guy to him being the one who is being wronged.

I really want to encourage you to write more, I think you definitely have a gift for story telling and would love to see more Lost based fic from you - I was wondering if you would let me beta your fic for you in the future, I always find that working with a beta allows me to really get the best out of any ideas I have plus another pair of eyes helps to fix up any errors that might otherwise slip by unnoticed. Let me know if you are interested in me beta-ing for you and, if so, I will give you my email address to make things easier. :)

No problem, I figured from what I read in your journal that you're having some kind of a hard time. In fact, I'm grateful you read this at all.
I found out that Charlie's a characer I really enjoy writing.

As to your offer: I think I really need a beat-reader, especially with english not being my native language, do I'd love to accept. Thank you so much!

I am quite in awe of your ability to write in a language other than your own, I certainly couldn't do that - I once used three lines of German in a fic and got two of them wrong!
Anyhoo, my email address is miss_tari @ hotmail .com (obviously without the gaps) so feel free to drop me a line whenever you want to. I will warn you that I am known to be a very thorough beta but I figure it isn't worth doing it unless you do it properly. *shrugs* I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. :)

Well, if you ever want to use German in a fic again feel free to ask for help.
I agree with you - beta-reading makes no sense if I don't get my mistakes pointed out to me. Anyway, thanks for reading my stories so far. I'm not sure when I'll have the time for more, as university is stealing quite a lot of my free time at the moment. So you're save from me for now. ^^
