a;lksjdf YOU HAVE NO IDEA how happy I am to see this, and how delighted I am that you chose to draw this, and what you call "boring" I call "understated" which is something I have an awful hard-on for right now. No, seriously.

I love the play of light and shadow and I keep looking back at Sam's face. There is something perfectly quiet and sad about this that really matches the mood of this fic in my head. I am totally fucking linking this to the entry.

Catching the mood was what I was going for. The shadow was added as a last-minute addition when try as I might I couldn't figure out what was missing. Turns out, this was it.
